The Narrows is classic Michael Connelly. He develops a compelling plot and a plot with Harry Bosch working as a private detective. It takes him from investigating the death of a friend on Catalina Island to Las Vegas and back to LA during torrential rains. He becomes acquainted with FBI agent, Rachel Walling, whose only assignment is to watch him. This case follows the clues to a criminal mastermind who used to be the top FBI profiler who went rogue several years ago, was thought to be dead and has now reemerged.
This is a good mystery that lets Harry follow the clues. It doesn’t get five stars for me because I miss the interaction with his fellow officers at the LAPD. Still, it’s a very good read and was worth my time.
