Snow by Mike Bond

Three Stars

Available from Amazon

A couple of guys, one from NYC and one from LA, are hunting in Montana in the deep snow and cold and find a downed airplane full of coke. The one from NYC decides to take it and involve the ex-NFL football star from LA. Both of these guys are supposed to be intelligent but I can’t see it. I didn’t much care for the book because I could never care for the protagonists. They did one stupid thing after the other. Additionally, the author used the book to overtly jump into the story and voice his opinions about Las Vegas, Cocaine, the drug wars, and most anything else that moved him. One section I skipped most of gave the history of Las Vegas. It had nothing to do with the story. It’s a fairly easy read with a predictable supporting cast and predictable ending. For those reasons, I rate it as mediocre.
